The AeroCool Touch-1000 is a fan controller operated by a touch LCD screen, controls up to 4 fans, monitors up to 4 temperatures (Celsius or Fahrenheit), temperature overheating alarm, and screen “lock” of controls.

The Touch-1000 has a black brushed aluminum front panel and a touch screen color LCD that allows you to control four fans plus monitor four key temperature areas in your computer. The LCD display is bright and easy to read even at angles of 70 degrees from center. The instructions that come with this controller are rudimentary; fortunately installation is fairly straight forward. All fans will need to be three-wire with 3-pin connectors. Temperature sensors are flat type sensors, heat tape for sensors is included. Temperature can be displayed in degrees F or C. Alarm temperature can be set for each sensor manually.

Tool-less installation in 5.25” bay does not work the unit will slip back into the bay when pressing the LCD screen. So, don’t waste your time, simply use screws to install it in the bay. Flat temperature sensors are easy to damage, take care. Temperature accuracy depends greatly on sensor placement and therefore should only be used as a guide for actual temperatures. Controls Antec and CoolerMaster fans with 3-pin connectors perfectly; allowing for a nice quiet system. Any Case fans that you plan to control will need to be changed out for the three-wire with 3-pin connector fans. You can change the standard molex fan connector to a 3-pin connector and the Touch-1000 will power the fan, but RPMs will not be displayed and will blink all zeros. Cable length for fans and sensors are definitely long enough for any mid-tower case and should be long enough for most full-tower cases (depending on what bay controller is placed in).

Quality materials and the overall appearance of the Touch-1000 makes it well balanced for its price range.  The Touch-1000 does exactly what it says it will do and does it for a lot less money than other controllers out there.
