Valve announced today it will bring Steam, Valve’s gaming service, and Source, Valve’s gaming engine, to the Mac.

10-06-08. The United States Supreme court refused to hear a patent infringement lawsuit appeal filed by Dish Networks, that TiVo filed against Echostar (Dish Networks) in 2004 in which it won a $73.9 million dollar judgement. Dish has now pledged to pay TiVo $104 million.

10-06-08. The mega auction site Ebay.com has announced it will cut 10% of it’s workforce, about 1600 jobs. It includes approximately 1000 full-time workers, and the rest are made up of part-time and contract workers. Ebay.com says it’s doing to do streamline business operations.
