With up to nine hours of battery life rating on the Satellite® T100 Laptop Series you’ll be able to keep going from the moment you boot up till you log off at night. It’s time to experience more unplugged freedom to do, explore and enjoy.

Don’t give up the performance you need for the thin and light portability you’ll love. With responsive, energy-smart, ultra-low voltage processors from AMD® and Intel®, lots of DDR3 memory and up to 320GB* of storage, this Satellite® T100 notebook will help you go far—and keep you going strong.

Includes:

AMD Athlon™ Neo X2 Dual-Core Processor L325

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

2GB DDR2 800MHz memory

ATI® Radeon™ HD 3200

320GB HDD (5400rpm)

HDMI output port

Hard Drive Impact Sensor

11.6″ HD TruBrite® LED Backlit display

1366×768 (HD), 16:9 aspect ratio, Supports 720p content

Built-in microphone, Standard stereo speakers, Headphone jack (stereo), Microphone jack (mono)

Webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel

10/100 Ethernet LAN

Memory Card Reader SD

2-USB (2.0), 1-USB (2.0) with Sleep and Charge

So what is the word? Excellent. This netbook gets high marks for putting everything you need into a single nice package at a decent price. The ATI 3200 graphics processor makes the netbook able to play a decent amount of games. The keyboard is not the best of the bunch, but gets good marks for ease of use. Well built and Toshiba quality round off an excellent buy.

Also includes a 250GB drive.

Runs your typical Integrated 4500MHD graphics processor for average performance and a HDMI port. However, this unit is fairly snappy feeling. The full sized keyboard, well full sized for a netbook, is well laid out and easy to use. Some minor complaints of the keys are flat so you can’t get a feel for your typing position.

Nice and fresh Cherry Red makes it stand out, and it includes all the nice features of a typical netbook. For the price this is worth the look.

Valve announced today it will bring Steam, Valve’s gaming service, and Source, Valve’s gaming engine, to the Mac.

Steam and Valve’s library of games including Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series will be available in April 2010.

The importance of this news is that it will bring gaming to the Mac platform, something that Mac users have long awaited for years. Valve will have a major hold into the Mac market with this move, and will prompt other game makes to consider the Mac a solid gaming machine.

“As we transition from entertainment as a product to entertainment as a service, customers and developers need open, high-quality Internet clients,” said Gabe Newell, President of Valve. “The Mac is a great platform for entertainment services.”

“Our Steam partners, who are delivering over a thousand games to 25 million Steam clients, are very excited about adding support for the Mac,” said Jason Holtman, Director of Business Development at Valve. “Steamworks for the Mac supports all of the Steamworks APIs, and we have added a new feature, called Steam Play, which allows customers who purchase the product for the Mac or Windows to play on the other platform free of charge. For example, Steam Play, in combination with the Steam Cloud, allows a gamer playing on their work PC to go home and pick up playing the same game at the same point on their home Mac. We expect most developers and publishers to take advantage of Steam Play.”

“We looked at a variety of methods to get our games onto the Mac and in the end decided to go with native versions rather than emulation,” said John Cook, Director of Steam Development. “The inclusion of WebKit into Steam, and of OpenGL into Source gives us a lot of flexibility in how we move these technologies forward. We are treating the Mac as a tier-1 platform so all of our future games will release simultaneously on Windows, Mac, and the Xbox 360. Updates for the Mac will be available simultaneously with the Windows updates. Furthermore, Mac and Windows players will be part of the same multiplayer universe, sharing servers, lobbies, and so forth. We fully support a heterogeneous mix of servers and clients. The first Mac Steam client will be the new generation currently in beta testing on Windows.”

Portal 2 will be Valve’s first simultaneous release for Mac and Windows. “Checking in code produces a PC build and Mac build at the same time, automatically, so the two platforms are perfectly in lock-step,” said Josh Weier, Portal 2 Project Lead. “We’re always playing a native version on the Mac right alongside the PC. This makes it very easy for us and for anyone using Source to do game development for the Mac.”

The Logitech Gaming Keyboard G110. Time to step up your game.

Ready to step up your game? With the Logitech Gaming Keyboard G110 on your side, you’ve got what you need to play faster, better and longer. Designed for serious gamers, this keyboard puts customizable controls right where you need them. Locate the correct keys—even in the dark—with backlighting colors you can select and assign. You also have 12 programmable G-keys to help you execute complex commands more rapidly than your opponents. Whether you’re running an epic raid or fragging an enemy soldier, the competition is no match for you and your Logitech Gaming Keyboard G110.

Logitech’s G110 Gaming Keyboard, as the name states, is designed to be a gaming keyboard first and foremost. The G110 definitely excels where gaming is concerned with multi color back-lit keys, headset-ready USB audio,high-speed USB 2.0 port, game mode switch, and 12 programmable G-keys with three macros each. This keyboard has a built-in macro recorder and comes with a “Key Profiler” program that is installed with the keyboard. The macro and quick key functions are easy to use and switching between macro modes as simple as pressing the M1-M3 keys. The Key Profiler program is designed to do an automatic game scan and create a profile for that game.

The microphone and audio jacks both work well. There is also a volume scroll wheel that will let you control headset volume while leaving Windows’ volume untouched. The G110 also has a set of multi-media keys designed to work with your multi-media player. The built in USB port is a powered port designed to support up to 100mA USB devices. The keyboard itself is very wide (19.5 inches) and may not fit some keyboard trays.

While the Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard is a keyboard that is designed for gamers that play complex RTS and MMO role playing games most users will have no problem using it as their standard keyboard. The Keys are a little smaller than your standard keyboard and are soft, smooth, and quiet when typing.

The G110 does a lot of things well, however it doesn’t do everything perfectly. The USB port does have intermittent problems powering certain mice and memory sticks. The Profiler automatic “ Game Scan” doesn’t recognize and automatically create a profile for several popular games both new and old. However you can open the Key Profiler and create a new profile and navigate to the game EXE for games not automatically recognized and assigned a profile. Others have reported that the multi-media keys do not work with WinAmp or Corel’s WinDVD, however, I use Windows Media Player 11 which does work with this keyboard.

Logitech’s G110 Gaming Keyboard shares a lot of features with the other G-Series gaming keyboards Logitech makes, because of this it makes it a solid gamers keyboard. But the G110 cost is less than the G15 and less than half the cost of the G19 making it a good choice for gamers that game in low light conditions and play games that lend themselves to the use of macro keys. If you don’t plan to use this keyboard for gaming but as a standard keyboard for word processing and office work then you are just wasting your money.

The new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCIe add-in card ($79.99) will add a couple of USB 3.0 ports to your PC, and the ExpressCard adapter ($79.99) will add two to your laptop. Don’t forget your USB 3.0 cables A-B and Micro-B both of which are “cheaply” priced at $39.99 for 4-feet of pure speed, and a “econo” 8-foot version at $49.99. For those that need the speed now rush out and spend a few hundred bucks to upgrade to the new speeds that very few peripherals actually support just yet.

NZXT Guardian 921 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case has a spacious interior solid construction that is built from solid .88mm and 1.00mm steel. The Guardian 921 has plenty of space for high-end video cards and up to four internal hard drives. Cooling is proved via three 120mm fans (front, side and rear), front and side fans have blue LEDs. The three probe monitoring system allows the user to constantly monitor temperatures within the system via a blue LED screen located at the top front of the case.

Multimedia and peripheral inputs are located on the left front side of the case (E-SATA, Intel HD audio, mic, and two USB 2.0 INPUTS). NZXT’s Guardian 921 is one of their latest additions to their Crafted Series and has elegant curves and a newly designed unique clear side panel. There are three external 5.25” drive bays, two external 3.5” drive bays, top mounted power supply, and has seven expansion slots. Case dimensions are (LxWxH) 20.5”x 8.1”x 18”.

The Guardian 921 is another excellent ATX mid tower case with drive bay door from NZXT. The blue LEDs light up the front of the case giving it an almost alien robot look. The side LED fan does a nice job of adding to the blue glow during that late night gaming session. Tool-less design makes component installation painless. The ability to monitor CPU, Graphics Card, and System temperatures is a nice feature.

NZXT’s Guardian 921 ATX Mid Tower Case is another case by NZXT that you either love or hate because of the door on front or the unique design. The interior is spacious, but the overall width of the case will restrict the size of hard drive cooler. So, make sure the hard drive cooler you want to use will fit. Another small issue with the guardian 921 is that the internal hard drives require you to bend the E-SATA cables to an almost uncomfortable angle to allow for the side panel to slide closed.

The case cools adequately running a high-end video card and a CPU that isn’t over-clocked. However, there are no other mounting areas provided to add additional fans for the additional cooling for those of you who want to over-clock your CPU and/or graphics card. Replacing the three 120mm fans that come with this case with fans that push a lot more air is the easiest way to provide some extra cooling.

Overall this is a very nice case, so if you like the way it looks buy it.
